Our story
Built from the inside out.
Rise and Thrive Empowerment started with one woman's recovery journey and grew into a community that Ukiah didn't know it needed.
Meet the founder
Rise and Thrive was born out of personal experience. After walking through recovery, I understood firsthand how isolating it can feel — and how much a welcoming, judgment-free space can change everything. I wanted to create something that didn't exist here in Ukiah: a place where women could move their bodies, build real friendships, and feel like they belonged.
What started as a small fitness class became something much bigger. People kept showing up — not just for the workout, but for each other. That's when I knew we were onto something real.
Founder, Rise and Thrive Empowerment
What we believe
We believe that fitness should be affordable, community should be accessible, and recovery should never mean isolation. Every program we offer — from Line Dance Fitness to Mendo Sober Socials — is rooted in that belief.
Belonging
Everyone walks in as a stranger. Nobody stays one for long.
Affordability
Ten dollars. No membership. No barriers. Cost should never keep someone home.
Community
We're not just a fitness studio. We're a place where friendships form and people show up for each other.
Recovery
Sobriety doesn't have to mean missing out. We build spaces where everyone can celebrate, connect, and thrive.
Rooted in Ukiah
Ukiah is our home. We know this community, its challenges, and its heart. Rise and Thrive exists to serve the women here — to give them a place to move, connect, and grow without having to drive an hour or spend money they don't have.
